We have created a new WGA Staffing & Development Platform that will include a number of tools for finding and contacting writers including, but not limited to, an Enhanced Find-A-Writer directory. The first tool available, other than the two weekly memos and directory, is the ability to list Open Writing Assignments. Writers will be able to reply to up to three of these OWAs per month to express their interest in meeting about them. You will then be able to cull the list to identify writers with whom you would like to follow up. Start listing OWAs now; we’ll be opening up the list for writer responses soon.

Other tools will follow that will allow you to find and contact writers or to receive queries about interest in general meetings from writers, or to manage lists of writers you have in mind for certain projects or meetings. Keep an eye out as we rollout these new tools in the coming weeks.
